Diving Scanner is built by a group of divers who got tired of hunting through dozens of dive-centre websites, WhatsApp chats and phone calls just to book a couple of dives on holiday.
Our goal is simple: let you scan every dive centre in your destination at once, compare real offers by price, distance and reviews, and book in a couple of minutes — whether it's your very first breath underwater or your hundredth dive.

How Diving Scanner came to be
In 2017, two of us had been working as dive instructors in Cyprus for three years. We kept running into the same problem. Not underwater — on land, in the weeks before a trip.
Booking a couple of dives on holiday meant hunting through a dozen dive-centre websites, half of them last updated years ago. Then WhatsApp. Then phone calls across three time zones. Then waiting for someone to come back off a boat and reply. It took longer to book the diving than to do the diving.
We thought it should be possible to search every dive centre at once —
Scan. Compare. Dive.
The idea was simple. Building it was not.
We couldn't find a developer who understood diving, and we couldn't afford one who didn't. Anyone in the industry will tell you the same thing — instructing pays for a life you love, it doesn't pay for a software project. So the idea sat with us. Through a pandemic, through years when nobody was travelling anywhere at all, we kept it between us and waited for the right moment.
In early 2026, a relative of ours moved to Cyprus. He turned out to be a first-class developer, and after one long conversation about what we were trying to build, he was in.
Ninety days and more than a thousand hours later, divingscanner.net went live.
