Cookie Policy
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how Aperioristes Technologies Ltd, registered in Cyprus under number HE 367279, registered office Aristoteli Valaoriti 62, Livadia 7060, Larnaca, Cyprus, uses cookies and similar technologies — including local storage and cookie-like identifiers — on the Diving Scanner platform. It should be read together with the Privacy Notice, which covers what happens to personal data more broadly, and the Terms of Use.
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device so it can recognise your browser between pages and visits. In this policy “cookies” includes local storage and similar technologies.
2. The cookies we use
Strictly necessary. A session cookie keeps you signed in and secures your account. The site cannot work without it, so it does not require consent; it exists only while your session does.
Analytics. A first-party analytics identifier tells us which pages are used, roughly where visitors come from and what device type they use, so we can improve the platform. Session recording is disabled — no replay of your activity is captured or retained.
We use no advertising cookies, no marketing pixels, no social media trackers and no cross-site tracking technologies, and we do not sell data collected through cookies. Crash and error diagnostics run without cookies and are configured not to transmit IP addresses or identifying request contents.
3. The inventory
| What | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookies | Keep you signed in and protect your account (authentication and request security) | Browser session / renewed while you stay signed in |
| Analytics identifier | Tells our analytics that two page views came from the same visitor, so we can see which parts of the site get used | Up to 12 months |
| Local storage | Remembers on-device state such as analytics preferences and in-progress selections; never read by other websites | Until cleared from your browser |
As a default rule, nothing we set outlives 12 months; most of it is far shorter-lived. If a genuinely new kind of cookie is ever introduced — a preference cookie, an embedded map, a marketing technology — this inventory will be updated first, and consent will be requested where the law requires it.
4. Controlling cookies
Your browser lets you view, delete and block cookies — per site or entirely — and clear local storage. Blocking all cookies will break sign-in and booking; blocking third-party cookies costs you nothing here, because we don’t rely on any. You can object to analytics processing at any time as described in the Privacy Notice, and analytics data is held under the safeguards — including for transfers outside the EU — described there.
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no settled standard for honouring it, so we do not respond to it specifically — but since we run no advertising or cross-site tracking, there is nothing of that kind to opt out of.
5. Changes and contact
If the platform’s cookies change — new technologies, new providers, a mobile application — this policy will be updated with a revised date, and where a change requires consent, it will be asked for rather than assumed. Questions about this policy go to info@divingscanner.net or to Aperioristes Technologies Ltd, Aristoteli Valaoriti 62, Livadia 7060, Larnaca, Cyprus.
